Continued success at 3MT for PhD students in CBEE
Congratulations to Jahir Antonio Batista Andrade, PhD student in Dr. Lee Blaney's lab.
Jahir continues the excellent track record of CBEE PhD student participation and success in the UMBC and regional 3MT competition.
Jahir competed in the Regional 3MT competition in February 2021 at the Conference of Southern Graduate Schools. His presentation was titled 'Environmental Forensic Tools to Detect Leaking Sewers'. In order to advance to the Regional 3MT competion, Jahir completed and won UMBC's 3MT virtual competion.
3MT celebrates the exciting research conducted by Ph.D. students. Developed by The University of Queensland, the exercise cultivates students’ academic, presentation, and research communication skills. The competition supports their capacity to effectively explain their research in three minutes, in a language appropriate to a non-specialist audience.
