Jennifer Sheriff

BS Chemical Engineering,Traditional Track (1997) 
After earning her BS at UMBC, Jennifer earned a M.S. Degree in Statistics at University of Delaware. She employed by W. L. Gore & Associates, Inc. since 1997.Career Highlights:
  • Process engineer for the manufacturing process to produce PTFE fibers including the fiber for Glide(R) Dental Floss. 
  • Engineering leader for manufacturing engineers in US, Germany, China, and Japan

Nicholas Rogers

BS Chemical Engineering, Engineering and Sustainability track (2015)

Nick is currently a fourth year Ph.D. candidate at Duke University in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department. Under Dr. Mark Wiesner, Nick is studying the relationships between extracellular vesicle (EV) surface chemistry and their associated transport and fate in soil systems. This research is in collaboration with the Duke Extracellular Vesicle Network (DEVNet), an internal interdisciplinary working group devoted to exploring the role of EVs in inter-kingdom communication. His research is being supported by an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship. While at UMBC, Nick worked in the labs of both Dr. Mark Marten and Dr. Lee Blaney.

Elise Adamson

BS Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology and Bioengineering Track (2017)

Irina Ramos

PhD Chemical Engineering (2009)

She works at AstraZeneca as part of the Biopharmaceutical Development team. She has been there for over 10 years. Her experience focuses on development of downstream processes for Biologics from Early to Late stages and a clear understanding of marketing application requirements. Since 2015, she has taught one of the courses for the Graduate Program in Biotechnology. Her PhD advisor was Dr. Theresa Good.

Cindy Chelius

PhD Chemical Engineering (2019)

Cindy is a Scientist at Bristol-Myers Squibb in the upstream process development group located in Devens, Massachusetts. Her PhD advisor was Dr. Marten.

Sevda Deldari

PhD Chemical Engineering (2020)

She started a new position at AstraZeneca as a scientist in BioProcess Technologies and Engineering group. Her PhD advisor were Dr. Douglas Frey and Dr. Govind Rao
