I chose the Chemical Engineering program at UMBC because of the various track options. These tracks gave me the ability to explore my interests within chemical engineering and figure out what worked best for me.
I think the best part of my chemical engineering education was the faculty members. It was great to work with professors who genuinely cared about their students and their academic success.
My advice to future Chemical Engineer students is to ask questions! Asking questions is so important and shows your professors that you care. Also, do not wait until you are struggling to ask for help. Utilize the teaching assistant’s office hours and UMBC free tutoring resources.
