National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) - Morgantown, WV as part of the Mickey Leland Energy Fellowship

What is the focus of your Internship?

Investigated the effects of support on iron based catalysts for methane pyrolysis.

What are you looking forward to the most about your Internship? 

The real world experience and technical forum where we get to present our work.

What was the best part of your Internship OR What was the biggest learning moment of your Internship ?

Getting to interact with professionals in the reaction engineering team and learning how to apply classroom knowledge to further real world research.

What advice do you have for students who are interested in getting involved in research or an internship?

 Even if the deadline is super close, submit something. You never know what doors are going to open.

Are you a member of any clubs/campus organizations?

AIChE, UMBC esports, Lambda Chi Alpha

What are your goals after graduation?

To use the problem solving techniques learned through chemical engineering to open as many doors as possible and explore the world.
