CBEE students win highly-competitive national awards
The CBEE department is proud to congratulate our students on recent awards:
The NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students in NSF-supported science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines who are pursuing research-based Master's and doctoral degrees at accredited United States institutions. The estimated value of the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship is $138,000.
Congratulations to the following:
- Daniel Ocasio, BS student (expected graduation, May 2017) - NSF Graduate Research Fellowship awardee
- Hollie Adejumo, December 2016 BS graduate - NSF Graduate Research Fellowship awardee
- Ethan Hain, first-year PhD student - NSF Graduate Research Fellowship honorable mention
We also congratulate Daniel Ocasio for receiving the Ford Foundation Scholarship, which aims to increase the diversity of the nation’s college and university faculties by increasing their ethnic and racial diversity, to maximize the educational benefits of diversity, and to increase the number of professors who can and will use diversity as a resource for enriching the education of all students.
