Chemical Engineering at UMBC

CBEE invites high school groups onto UMBC’s campus for a field trip that explores Chemical, Biochemical, and Environmental Engineering.

During high school visits, students and teachers can expect to:

  • Discover the fields of Chemical, Biochemical, and Environmental Engineering
  • Tour our engineering facilities and lab spaces
  • Learn about current research being conducted by our faculty and students
  • Hear an overview of our department including degree tracks, student organizations, and our Accelerated Program
  • Recieve resources to increase awareness and knowledge about a degree in Chemical, Biochemical, and Environmental Engineering

Summer Enrichment Opportunities

The Summer Enrichment Academy at UMBC is a 1-week summer workshop and camp program designed to spark our student’s passions and interests. SEA offers unique, fun, challenging, and mind-expanding experiences for middle school and high school students.

SEA brings our students exposure to college experiences with opportunities in science, engineering, technology, the arts, and humanities, all led by UMBC faculty, industry professionals, and graduate students.
