Description
Lumpkin Society is a bi-weekly event for all CBEE graduate to hang out in a safe space and be SCIENCE NERDS together!
The Lumpkin Society meetings are a safe place for CBEE graduate students to meet. All CBEE students are already members
Exclusive to CBEE graduate students, activities fulfill both social and academic needs. They are an opportunity created by CBEE students for CBEE students to socialize, discuss research, departmental activities, and connect with student leaders.
Food and drink are generously provided by the department and each meeting will have a theme, usually in the format of a presentation and discussion of a research topic lead by one of the members.
Speaker: Shreyas Patel, CENG MS
Topic: ultrasound-mediated disruption of the blood brain barrier
Just a reminder that the Lumpkin Society is exclusive to CBEE graduate students ONLY as we all need a safe place to socialize and decompress together 🙂
The Lumpkin Society is named for the late Professor Lumpkin, whose deep commitment and concern for students both in and outside of the classroom and for inspiring women and minorities to pursue studies in science and engineering inspires the department and graduate student community.
